Well here we are an end of another year but always a new beginning. With 2012 on the horizon I would like to take a look back with all of you on the past six months and tell you that I have been blessed to see so many new faces talent wise and fan wise. From Theatre 166 when we did "ELVIS AUGUST" to California to Choctaw casinos and back to Theatre 166 it humbles me that I have got a chance to perform for some wonderful people let alone have the talent which makes it all more magical.
For me I have been someone to never look back at your body of work but always kept moving forward but these past few weeks I finally had a chance to sit back and see what we have accomplished. With miles on cars and for the most part packed venues 2011 will always be remembered for me as the year of NEW BEGINNINGS. To thank each person individually would be hours and hours of writing and I may forget someone along the way. So as a whole the most important person is you. The Lori Vicks', The Russell Markhams', The Ann Kellys', Marge Hopes', The Chuck Billings' and others who came at a regular basis and stuck by us through and through. If it wasn't for them sitting in those seats...well we don't have to tell you what could have happened.
And new faces as well. The Kelly family, The Carroll family, The Cantu Family, The Nims Family to name a few who made sure their daughters had the full support of what they do in their careers. We had people drive miles and miles to see our shows not once not twice but multiple times and for them I am truly grateful.
So many people to thank from Theatre 166 to Sara Jones in Sierra to my musicians who brought music to life all the long hours and rehearsal time with dancers who showed what the value of true hard work is and what rewards can be had in the end.
I would like to thank Russell Markham who if not for him and the opportunity he gave us would not have been able to show our hard work for new faces in Durant and Idabel. I am truly grateful for him and his loving family who are not only unsellfish but adoring and supportive fans as well. I always know when they are in the audience just like I know when my Mineral Wells fans are there. They are always the loudest and always the most complimentary. What a great combination.
You know its funny I was preparing to play for Christmas Eve service at Crosspointe Church and let me tell you going out there I was so nervous probably more nervous than I am when I do an Elvis show and sitting out there with tons of people who are all there to worship the birth of our Lord I felt "Where else would you rather be than playing on Jesus' Birthday?" What an honor and what a moment to have that as nervous as I was, what a great way to say THANK YOU to my LORD and SAVIOR for giving me and blessing me with such wonderful people in my life. Needless to say it was a Rocking service. What a way to end a year of trials and tribulations combined with joy and laughter with the ones you love and laugh with you. Never take yourself so seriously. Powerful thought.
So what do we do for 2012? FILL UP THOSE SEATS! I figured that if one person knew 10 people and that person knew 10 more and so on and so on we can sell out every night. But all of you are also my marketers. From your mouth is the sales pitch that doesn't need a visual or a poster , its the passion you have when you have seen a show that we produce. I would like to expand our projects to other venues so if you have ideas or locations drop us an email. We would like to do more casinos and that is in the works right now but it all starts with you the customer. When you go to a restaraunt sometimes you may not want the special maybe just something off the menu. Sometimes your not hungry and just want a few appetizers whatever it is as long as the service is good you will always come back. We pride ourselves on the service we give you from start to finish that is why you keep coming back. At the same time we always want to know what we can do better what needs to be worked on and that is where you come in. So along the way if you have any ideas, PLEASE let us know. It may be the missing piece of our puzzle.
So from your mouth to Gods ears let 2012 be a year that we can all be proud of and that all of your goals will be defining moments in your lives whether that is to lose weight (again) or to be with a loved one, reconnect with a loved one, make an impact on others, whichever path you take let your discipline and your drive and most of all your faith take you to the next level of your life. There will always be the skeptics the ones that tell you that you can not do it, the ones that have more negative to give you than positive and the only way you can make them happy is to follow that trail with them. I had a mantra this past Christmas show, when things were going bad or if there was negative energy which can cause struggle for harmony, I told the cast to RISE UP! I made them repeat it and repeat it and repeat it. RISE UP! Say that to yourself whenever someone gives you static, whenever someone brings you down. You can even say it to them as an exclamation to yourself. RISE UP! It's a force field you put around of good will and good vibe and that you will not allow that negativity in your life. It will bring you above the negatism to strive back on your path on your goal for next year. If you are not RISING UP you are GOING DOWN. Say that to yourself no matter where you are, in the shower, in your office, right before you go to bed and affirm to yourself that no one will get in your way next year and that you will accomplish what you set out to accomplish.
Remember there are only 365 days which means you don't have to make it all happen in one day but always make that one day last as long as you can. I will be praying for each of you and that I will see you again very very soon.

Statement Of Concern
Well our second week of our show came and left. There really wasn't much to write or talk about because we had to cancel our Saturday show and six people showed up for our Sunday show. Funny we actually had more people working for us than people in the audience. But the people who did come saw something beautiful. Not one of us phoned it in. Not one of us took the approach of marking through the show. We went full out! Just as if we had a 100 people. The audience that was there not only appreicated that we didnt just phone it in but felt like they should have paid more to see a show of this caliber. I have so much respect for my dancers and my musicians for that and feel ashamed that they are performing to empty houses, when a month ago we had 800 people in a Casino that made us feel larger than life. I do take responsibility for it because at the end of the day it is my name on the marquee.
What's the deal? Are we doing something wrong? Are you getting burned out on what we do? Do you not like the space we perform in? Is it the money or the price of the ticket? Please understand we are trying to figure this out. People drive 100 miles to see us but they can't be our audience all the time (I wish they were though). Is it the quality of the show? Is it me?
This is not by any means a dart for people that havent come seen my shows just concerns financially and what it costs to put on a quality show that you expect from Jack Foltyn. Now take away the financial aspect it is just an embarrassment to go out and perform with other artists after working so hard for months and seeing empty seats. Its like throwing a big party with caviar and champagne and everyone had RSVP'd and when the night of the party arrives, no one shows up. Now your left with a bunch of groceries and an empty feeling in your gut. Again its after doing such awesome work in California and Oklahoma and coming home (because this is my home) and finding that it is a struggle just to get ten people to see a show that I am so proud of. What do I need to do?
Here are a few answers to suggestions you have given me:
A lot of people will say you have to market the show better. Now I have done everything from newspapers , hiring marketers, putting ads on radio but I cant give away tickets. People want a band, they want great music, sound, lights, but unfortunately that all costs money.
I love having my band but they need to get paid. I can spend a lot of money on marketing my show but then I will have to go to Karaoke tracks. That will not work for the paying customer. You might come see it once but after that you may not be back again
I do get the economy story but not entirely. Dallas has more events during the holidays than any holiday and people go. Texas is home of the affluent and influential. If I had to schedule everything by other people's schedule I would be out of business. Theatres in Richardson, Dallas, Grapevine thrive on the holidays and yes even Plano because thats where people are wanting to see dance shows, recitals anything that will put them into the Christmas Spirit
Another suggestion I get is ask your manager to help. Well I don't have a manager I am producing all of this on my own. My question to you is do you know of any. I fund these shows on my own and I have no sponsors, no private sectors that are willing to fund a show of mine. So do you know any people who would help. People who are in casinos, artistic directors, bigger market venues. I ask because all of you have said that Texas is way to small for our caliber of shows. So I am asking now. You are my eyes and ears.
Another question I get is why do you have to rent space. Why can't a theatre bring you in?
My thoughts Exactly! Why don't they. I will put my show against any show out there and it is head over heels better than anything out there. We spend months putting a show like this together and the man hours. There are a lot of stubborn theaters that spend money on out of town shows thinking they are getting quality. I have addressed what I thought about that. I would be nice to be on concert series or a theatre season so that all I would have to do is bring a show in rather than being a producer as well. When you rent space you are not part of the subsciber season. When you rent the patron has to pay extra for that show. A patron has already paid a certain price for a list of shows. If you are not part of their season the patron will not pay extra. That is where we fall miserably. If you want our show to be at another theatre or other venues PLEASE recommend us. Let them know we exist! So please ask around other theatres and let them know that you have experienced a great show which only Jack Foltyn provides. Remember you pay the bills not them. So let your voice be heard
Bottom line is I am an entertainer, but also someone who is in the business, I have no idea how to get YOU the valued customer in. Email me, write me, send smoke signals. I need your help. Of course I don't have my own theatre and I have to abide by the guidelines set by other theaters but if the quality of the show is not to your standard I want to know so that I can change the venue or the project.
The show has one more week of performances starting this Friday and I am asking from the bottom of my heart come and support those people who worked so hard just so they can hear an applause. That's all we do it for. The tickets are a good price and you will find that you will get more than your money's worth. If not and we will gladly give you a refund back. If you can order Netflix for eight dollars a month you can afford the price of a ticket for a live performance.
I blogged about this, not to have a platform, but more of trying to find insight. How my show can sell out in California, Boston, Oklahoma, and struggle to get seven people in a theatre in Carrolton in between Plano and Dallas is jaw dropping. Something is not working.
I love all of you so much all I ask is to show your support.

Rocked Choctaw Nation
Yes what can we say? Choctaw nation was in for a big surprise and so were we. Both nights standing room and packed to capacity! What was pretty intense and very exciting at the same time I can honestly say we couldn't have done any better. The response was so humbling and walking on to that stage with 800 people staring at you was just as scary as going on a first date :). The feedback was so positive and we were told by many that they do want us back. I have to thank Russell Markham because if it wasn't for him seeing our show that would have never happened. If it wasn't for Elaine Liner writing about Elvis August, Russell would have never came. Funny how things happen. When we finished our weekend to standing ovations and rooms that were beautiful I came out of it with an elevation of confidence, that the best is yet to come. What a wonderful point of validation.
Now let me also get to the bond I share with each of the dancers. Tish and Rheagan. These girls who worked so hard and to go out there for a main stage show and bring it with their "I goT this" mentality should show that you don't have to be a template looking dancer in this business but the heart of a lion to want it!I have always preached that talent is only valid when you work hard at polishing your gift and never excepting mediocre performances! They are not only top of the line performers and dancers, but in this business where an audience sees you as an entertainer and not as a family member, the accolades and ovations says it all. As one audience member said as the girls came on "ELVIS WHO". Of course it was a man. I truly respect them and respect their input as well because they have come a long way with me. Think about it they have been dancing with me since June. That is a long time. I guess we are doing something right!
The band. You know these guys. What can I say when it comes to big time lights just come on! I was watching Dave playing and I have never seen him so animated when I saw him play behind me. The guy was in a zone!! Pat was always the guy to make sure sound quality is good and hearing him sing with me just added so much. What a guy to have in your corner! And what can I say about Trailerpark that I haven't said yet. The constant performer and professional. Always there and I even think now he is thinking like Jack. He can anticipate anything I do. That's either genius or scary. Nick as always brought his A game with the sax and he always adds a different tone to my shows. So gifted!
Saying all that what I got out of this trip are the times I spend with these Band of Brothers. It always is so reassuring that when I go out of town to perform that I have my sense of home about me and never feel awkward or uncomfortable. Now granted there is always going to be problems beyond our control, but we have gotten so tight as a unit, there is nothing we can't overcome.
Which comes to our Christmas show. Does everyone know we have one? It's funny how we can pack them at the casinos but stretch to get 20 people here. :). I'm telling you you are going to love the show. It's different,it's classy, it's clean,it's Christmas. We do these Christmas shows as kind of a escape from the busy season and we would like to end our season on a great uplifting note. Please bring groups or families for some top entertainment. If we are good enough to beat out performers around the country and share a stage previously used by the likes of Dr.john, Randy Travis ,Foghat,Aaron Neville, surely we are good enough to be back at the best entertainment venue this side of Texas. THEATRE 166. I look forward to seeing you again and let's get those phones blowing up

Rocked it in the Foothills
So much to say! It actually took me a week to start getting in the swing of things after our intensive week of getting there getting settled and then performing. It was all so worth it. Its funny because I still get nervous when I perform and I know not alot of people who have seen me perform think that I don't but I do. Especially when it is your show you have alot more to be nervous about.
Coming on to that stage in the black as the blue light hits the band while they are droning to a monstrous intensity, I thought to myself... what am I doing here? How did I get so blessed by being in a position I am in. I remember as a kid if someone told me you were going to be going places and singing and dancing to stuff you had created I would have said there is no way. But as that spotlight hit and Im looking at Trailerpark (my drummer who is now a legend there with David and Pat) for that downbeat....I havent looked at the audience yet but I hear them screaming and BAM! Dave comes in with BU Bada Bu Ba "If your looking for trouble, you came to the right place" I knew that this is why we do what we do and to feel it and share it with people I have gotten so close to during this journey (since June) it made it all the more special!
You figure it out 4 guys in a van cross country 26 hours, yes much bonding. Rheagan and Jessica who in the mornings I would cook breakfast for and have coffee and Hank and Tracy's house, it was literally a family atmosphere and I was proud of them like a brother to a sister, a brother to a brother. Did I tell you we had close to full houses every performance? It is an amazing feeling to come to a theatre where the expectations are high and exceed all of them to a glorious roar of applause. Here is the kicker... I could not have done it without them! David, Pat, Trailerpark, Rheagan, Jessica. It was because of them we had standing ovations every night and because of them they kept asking for us back. Still we are just one happy family and glad I got the opportunity to share it with these talented people!
Everyone at the theatre from Sara and Dennis to Lisette and Chris and Ty and Tara made sure that we were okay and we had everything we needed...except time. I wish we had more of that. But I want to thank them for making my crew so comfortable with their stay.
I want to thank Ron because without Ron I could not have been able to do it the rest of the way. He took care of the little things. Even if it was to take the girls back to the house so I can get a little nap, or if I needed Tshirts because my others were soaking wet (ever seen Ron with a blow dryer on leather, you could pay admission) Him being there made it so much easier and I thank him for his friendship because he is just priceless
A big thank you to Pam Moody who believed in all the merchandise we were selling and sold more in five performances than we sold ever!!! Guess who helped.... CAT!! Number one fan and best friend. What a job they did for us and such wonderful supporters for our cause. I say cause but its a company I am creating. The vision of having fans like you to come out support our company because you know the quality of our shows beats anything out there. As Elaine Liner from the Dallas Observer said "Elvis August is the best thing on local stage right now!" Powerful words and it is my job as an artist and producer to give you that. See I look at things the way you would. I want the regular person who doesnt do alot of theatre going to come see my shows and get WOWWED! Our I GOT THIS mentality is clearing the way for bigger and better things in our future so stick around the best is still up ahead.
I want to also thank HANK AND TRACY. Wow! They make my soul and spirit smile. For letting me be part of their family and as TRACY said THE THRILL IS BACK. When she says that you know we have something special. Everyone who have not met them you need to. The dancers fell in love with them and their hospitality and of course every night after the show it was off to their house for conversations and friendships and more bonding time. Can't thank them enough and on behalf of the crew and cast we thank you for being so honest and open with your hearts and time. I think one of the things that came out of this trip was how we really got to know everyone and how close friendships can be without having just to perform. From eating together to driving together to laughing together you find out that we are just people who can make other people live, love and laugh
One last note I met a couple who came saw the show and they were the most adorable couple I have ever seen. Bob and Doris. He was 70 and she was 82. After the show we go out to the lobby and I talked with them and Doris who was just a pretty as button gave me a hug and cried on my shoulder and said "You bought him back to life for us" Those words were so profound for me and this couple had such an impact on me I couldn't tell you how many times I talked about them and I still do. Thank you Bob and Doris for making me believe Im doing the right thing
So saying all that. We have a Christmas show to get ready for. But before that CHOCTAW November 4,5. So lets get those reservations to come in. My Christmas wish is to have just as many sell outs as we did in California. You will not be let down. Promise! I love you all!

New Beginnings
Thank you! I should start out with that. There are so many people to thank for this positive experience I couldn't tell you where I should begin. I need to thank the fans first and foremost for being there that had a chance to experience ELVIS AUGUST. It was more for you than for anyone. I want to thank our new fans into the Jack family. People who came and experienced what we do for the first time and now will be back because the quality of shows we put on is like no other. I so appreciate the open mindness of those people who took a chance got blown away and will now continue to be our patrons for our upcoming events.
I want to thank my dancers: "FOLTYN'S ANGELS" Tish Morris Kelley, Jessica Cantu, Rheagan Presley Carroll, Erin Nimms, Chelsea for achieving a level of professionalism that they will keep as a standard for themselves for years to come. I learned that there are people out there who are talented but most of all good people. The ones that come to rehearsal and enjoy the process, the challenges, the changes and themselves.
These shows for them have been of life lessons and achieving something of the highest standard and I thank them so much for being there and being accountable. Talent is not what gets you places but commitment and energy does
I want to thank my musicians my band members. The people who subbed in at the last minute. Tim and Jacob and Max who just made me feel I had no worries and what else you can say other than I owe them alot. For Dave and Nick and Trailerpark and Pat....we are going to rock California. Thank you for being there and always staying on point with everything. Thank you for making life easier for me
I want to thank all the people at Theatre 166 who made me feel at home and took a chance on me to go their with a show that...well...wasnt a regular Elvis show. That to me spoke volumes!! All the feedback I got was that it was a great venue and friendly faces and that is another reason they will keep coming back and me of course....It doesnt hurt that there is a liquor store right next door LOL. Thank you David and his wife Kylie. Thank you Dan, Thank you Steve, Thank you Pastor Dave for giving us a venue to express what we believe is quality family entertainment. We will see each other again as friends and business associates.
I would also like to thank Ron and Diane Leeper who made sure seats were they were supposed to be. That merchandise always looked pretty and concessions were always fresh. Never had we had one complaint on this run or one problem due to lack of preperation. It is a tough job to keep that all in order and I so much appreciate that. You are the first people they see and impression is everything. Its a thankless job and you do it so well and you do it humbly and graciously. I can't thank you enough
I would also like to thank the clean up crew and really its only one lady who does this. Now let me tell you why this is so important. I was at another theatre before this one and without saying any names it is truly a blessing when you can come in to your place of work and see everything clean! The chairs in order, nothing on the floor, bathrooms always smell nice. You have no clue how good that it is especially when you have seen the worse side of that spectrum. So next time you come see a show or go to service there take a look around and there is a reason why Theatre 166 is so clean and vibrant! Personal Pride! Thank you so much
Of course I am probably missing more people but in general when you do a show there is a sense of sadness after a show is done. With this one I have to say I am very excited about our Christmas show. Why? Because of the people I mentioned and of course all of you because you are excited about it. This has not been an ending but a new beginning of great things to come! We have seven shows in December and we want you to come to all of them! Why not!
We will have all of this posted on our website in the next few days plus ticket prices. So make sure to start making your plans for our Christmas In Graceland. What better way to start the holiday season with us!!
And remember when somebody asks you "If there is anything I can do to help?" All you gotta say is, What??!! "I GOT THIS"

Final Weekend!!!
What can I say other than FINAL WEEKEND!! If you have missed every show that past four weeks for any reason, you can't miss final weekend. This is where everything has a little more intensity a little more energy. Its like another opening night! Your support is so important to us and the work the dancers and musicians have done is well worth the price of admission. I would go out on a limb and say the price of the ticket is less than the entertainment value, ask anyone who has seen the show. It is electric full of energy and fun and most of all it is Elvis.
And if you have seen the show already, come see it again because it will be different and new. You may have forgotten it or there was so much to see you need to come again to see the parts you missed or maybe you just have nothing to do this weekend. So get in your car and drive to THEATRE 166 and take an hour and a half out of your life and laugh, love and sing!
We have had so much fun doing this its a crime to not have a sold out show!!!
Thank you
Jack Foltyn

Start Of A New Journey
With the end of the first two weeks and the first batch of shows it is almost like starting a new show. Different choreography different dancers different musicians it feels like another opening night. Our journey starts on Thursday at 9pm for dance and blocking rehearsals! Thats how we role, and with one of our prinicpal dancers leaving its time for the mantra "WE GOT THIS" to be put into action.
Why do we do this. Why not use the same show? Here is a list
1. Audience expect the unexpected
2. When you are comfortable with what your doing you will never grow as an individual
3. Pushing the boundaries and yourself
4. This becomes a series of life lessons rather than shows
5. What is more exciting than having a new opening night every week. It literally is
6. The reward is greater by knowing you have achieved something that not many people have done
7. The confidence level of the artist skyrockets knowing that you can change things and adapt and do it
effortlessly
Do I need to go on? Most important it is you the viewer that makes me channel inner greatness and limitless creativity. You have allowed me to break through the stereotype barrier and do things as I have always done...differently. I believe the innovations of this show and past shows have been a staple for future shows.
Now here is the deal. Our Sunday shows are just as important. The Sunday shows are more like a feel good about yourself show. Try not to think about it as a gospel show or hymnal show. It really is a feel good show. I would love to see you out there. 3pm is hot outside at least you know you can come to an air conditioned venue for an hour and a half and maybe discover some things about yourself that you may want to try on you.
With that being said. Our futures shows do depend on you. I do ask you take the time and make a donation or better yet just and investment on your entertainment value. Whether its a dollar or a thousand each dollar goes directly into musicians, dancers, venues. Thats it. The 3 I just wrote down unfortunately does not work for free. So if you come to my shows and you have been an avid fan take the time and see what all is involved and be the great fans I know you are. We are not under any non profit umbrella and venues do not give us price breaks on their spaces. I am working on getting a subscriber VIP which does include 4 tickets to each show. Not performance but show, newsletter. So be waiting in the wings as they say.
As I said this has been very rewarding to me considering what the past year has brought me and I am very glad to share these experiences with you. The Sunday message this week is "GOD DOESNT TEXT" Come Sunday to listen to the message.
I thank you all and please please please see you Friday Saturday Sunday
All Love
Jack

Opening Weekend
From what I have heard and from the feedback I have gotten from others, Elvis August is off to a smashing start! The show is high energy and most of all the dancers and musicians are electric. I have alot to be thankful for in this show but most of all what I am thankful for is CHEMISTRY!! Without a doubt this is the best group of dancers and musicians I have had because their soul purpose is to getting the job done! They police themselves and they are mature enough to know to bring their Agame and not conflicting personalities. I am so very proud of them! The musicians...what can I say. Electric electric electric. Theatre 166 is a venue that fits this show perfectly and the people are truly gifted in their skills. From Dan to lights to Steve for sound, I could have not have asked for a better group of people.
The only thing I do ask is that you buy a ticket and come see us. It is entirely different but far better than what we have done in the past because of the new attitude and our "WE GOT THIS" mantra. We love to perform for you so please buy a ticket , tell all your friends, we will be giving away certain things every performance, but what you will come out with is not only memories, but Class A quality from the time you walk in till the time you leave. My shows have always been a brand of style and this is no different.
So do not wait till closing weekend because I guarantee you it will sell out. Come Friday, Saturday, next week and the week after. You will not see the same show twice

This has been a journey like I have never had before but the payoff has been so rewarding to work with mature professionals as the one in this show. Show them your support as fans of Jack and fans of Elvis...better yet fans of good live theatre. If you don't like it, I promise you we will give you your money back! How is that for confidence

The Time Has Come
Well needless to say we are getting close. Its funny how when I talk to people and when you tell them them your doing almost a different show every week they look at you and think your crazy. I guess I am in a way but I also know fans wouldn't expect anything else. Seventy songs? Dancers who are learning about 20 different numbers? Commitment to excellence. These are the people who I would go to bat for.
Working with the talent I have who never ask questions and are genuinely excited sparks me to do and be the best I can be. Rather than giving it away I will tell you that the first two weeks will be an adaptation of the 1968 special. The third week will be Elvis at the movies which will be very special for our military people who will be able to come for free on the 20th. The fourth week will be Elvis in Vegas and we round it up on the fifth week with more of Elvis in the movies.
Renowned tap artist and great friend Tish Morris Kelley will be working with me on choreography so we have lots of suprises.
Sunday's show will be the only show that will stay the same which will be music dancing and of course me. This show will rock I guarantee you!
I am pulling all the stops to bring back the energy and electricity each of you expect with any of my shows. I am very excited and of course nervous so please make your reservations.
With all of this we need your help. Volunteers are always good. If you would like to volunteer your time with box office, concessions , please call me we would love to have you.
I also want to reach out to my fans as well. As you know we are not a non profit organization and the quality of our shows comes with expenses . We are not funded by the city and what we make as far as payroll is what the box office produces. With that in mind we are looking for any amount of donations that will not only keep our projects going but also keep us in the loop of perhaps having our own theatre where we don't have to worry about paying the rental for these venues.
Unfortunately we are not under any umbrella and other theatres thrive because of their subscriber base and private sectors who donate to the theatre. Our expenses come from theatre rentals hiring the best musicians and talent. Your generousity is very important to us and by donating what you can you are giving us the thumbs us to keep the quality of our shows second to none. I would like you to keep that in mind. We have special perks for our fans who want to become regular subscribers and special events for you.
We realize that with this economy its always difficult, yet my mission is to give the best quality entertainment which is something we all need , no matter what the cost. It gets us out of whatever rut we are in. If I can give you two hours of fun and enjoyment than our job has been forfilled. So keep those reservations coming and lets make this a show where we sell out each night (wouldnt it be nice).
Opening night is less than a month away its also the most special night where the creation has life. But remember each week will be another opening night. Spooky but fun and everyone is getting ready. Are you?

Thank You Sierra Repertory Theatre!
To all my fans and friends I would like to announce that Jack Foltyns "Elvis 68" will be shown in the beautiful Sierra Hills of California. "Elvis 68" will be playing at the Sierra Repertory Theatre at the end of September through the beginning of October. I want to thank Sara Jones for bringing us there and that she had faith enough in us to have my band and myself and a couple of dancers to put on the quality show all of you are so use to. With faith anything can happen. When I brought Elvis 68 to Richardson it was a show that had such close ties to me personally. Every piece of music meant so much and thank God for a band that held me together through the small audiences with a passion to play and perform. Yet I felt this show was special for reasons outside of just being a regular Elvis show.
When Elvis did the 68 special he was at a crossroads with movie career and performing live. What he did that Christmas night for the viewers was let people know that he was still here and he was still rocking! I think alot of times we need something in our lives to let people know that we are still here. That with persistence and faith in the man above anything can happen. Well I'm still here and still rocking and won't let you the fan down
I am happy to say that the band will travel with me and rest assured we will knock them dead out there. I am very humbled that they would ask us and guess what? What you will be seeing in August will be the show we will be performing for them. I want all of you to know that what you will be seeing is something special in the making from beginning to end because you wont see the same show twice!
All of you have made it possible for me to keep moving forward! I would love all of you to come and see us in California and show them that great Jack Hospitality thats second to none.
I would hope that anyone who would want to volunteer their time we can sure use you for our August show. Whether that would be seating people, helping with concessions or merchandise just let me know. We will make sure you get to see the show for free.
As I wrote in the program when I we did the show "Elvis 68" its basis is love! Even through love lost there is creativity gained. Its what made the show possible. Powerful Statement! Reread that one. Each song has meaning from "True Love Travels On A Gravel Road" to "Can't Help Falling in Love" I wanted to take you on a journey to Jack's soul. Its funny I feel like I know all of you and all of you probably know what I feel or felt at times through music. When things became the most bleakest is when you became more aware of it. I remember Lori Vick coming to me one night after a Christmas show I did at the Eisemann in Richardson and just asked me point blank "Are you okay?, You dont seem yourself". Ill never forget where I was what I was wearing when she asked that. Sweat pouring down me, in the lobby and just point blank wanted to know what was wrong with me. With a woman you can't hide anything. She knew what was going on with me just like alot of others. Why? Because you care and the love you have shown for me has been incredible!
There is a great song that states "That A Heart Without love cannot live". That really makes a bold statement. We can only be as good as our hearts let us and sometimes when things feel darkest is when our hearts become more hungry for what we want the most. When you have love in your heart anything can be made to be beautiful but when you have love for yourself everything is beautiful.
As I always said there is no me without you!
So here is to all of you who have made this possible. Who kept on believing in me and the quality of shows we put on. This maybe just a step but its a great big fat baby step! So please make your reservations I want to make this comeback a comeback of all comebacks!! You know me Ill probably have to figure how to jump into a ring of fire!

The Comeback
Hi Ladies and Gentlemen
It has been a while I know! Of course all of you realize what had happened in my life the past year after my last show. It was a very humbling experience to be a caregiver and give up all you had to make one persons life better. You start to appreciate life alot more and understand why we are put on this earth. Its funny that as a person we stray away from things that would disturb us but in the same sense you feel almost instinctive into doing things you normally wouldn't do. For all who don't know what I mean, take just everyday things you do and all of a sudden not be able to do it and have someone else do it for you. Its at that time your mind goes into a different mode. For me it was like taking care of my child or a wife that you really loved. Through it all there were many obstacles and defeats. You lose so much personally from people you love, friends you had and a career you were striving for. All of that now that I look back at it was far from the truth of what I was doing. Being responsible for someones life was the pure truth. And I am here to say that Jodi Forrer is better than she ever was and healthier than ever!
I wanted to share that all with you because I also realized that performing is something that I do, something that God instilled in me. My brother once told me while I was in one of those funks and he said, "You know Jack you were on top once, God doesn't make mistakes he will put you on top again!" He also said, "I'm not even a woman and I would marry you!" I think he meant that as Jodi is a dear friend can you just imagine if it was someone like a family member. That all made me feel I was doing Gods work in a way.
So! The comeback! Now is the time to start new again and ladies and gentlemen this show is for you!! All Elvis! All Month! A different show every week! I really would love to see all of you come out! Opening night is special for all the fans and I would love nothing but to pack that place up. Its at a beautiful church still very intimate and it just has a great energy. And what better place to make new beginnings than at a church!! I would like to start a subscriber list so that the people who have been diehard "Jack" fans get a price break for tickets if you decided you wanted to come see more than one show!
Also Sunday is a show like no other. We always have the Why Not Jack brand. My Sunday show is a show called "WHY NOT YOU" Believe you me through this journey tearful and joyous at times, learning that life is about "YOU" and what you can do to make life better for YOU! By coming to this show you will feel inspired to do something that will guide you back on the path of YOU!! All of you have impacted me through the years and I would like to share that with you. By coming to see one of the shows, the Sunday show is free to you.
August is a month that I wanted to make special for you, and show the love I have for all of you who have supported me through so much. I have nothing but respect and admiration. So lets make this the best one yet!
Jack

Jack
