BIG NIGHT

This is it!! Excited, nervous, stressed but ready to say I GOT THIS!!! Alot to think about and still do. We had last minute revisions last night so needless to say there was not alot of sleep. As the time ticks down to what is probably the most monumental event of my life, it's hard to sit back and relax and enjoy each minute. I wasn't even able to sit still watching the last minute revisions. I had to leave the room. Funny! But I'm not asking all of you to do that tonight. It's hard watching me from my standpoint. I hope that each of you are as excited as I am to view this and come out feeling inspired with life and all the possibilities that it has to offer. Who would have thought that this little boy from New York would have a night like this. I will see all of you after the show... Of course I'm not watching it. I'll probably be at the gym.... But I may FACETIME it. If I could find wifi somewhere. :))

Much love

Nervous Nervous and......Nervous

Well it's three days before the showing of EXPOSED and now I see what every producer and director and  actor feels before a premiere.  Questions they ask of themselves.  Is it good enough?  Does it have what it takes to be a real great film?  We don't know.  All I can tell you is that we worked day and night to make it the best possible movie for the money.  I looked at alot of movies in my life and I thought to myself, Wow!  There are production companies that spend millions, and at the end of the day when we go and spend our 10 bucks we come out of the movie theatre saying, "God what kind of dumb movie was that!" It's kind of what goes on in my head.

I was at the store the other day and this guy who always checks me out (groceries that is) asked me about my film, and I said that I was really nervous about it because when you put yourself out there you posture yourself for ridicule.  Without a blink of an eye he said, and I'll never forget it, he said, "You gotta have a pair of big ones to do what you do." End of story.  He also said, "Your mind has to be strong".  I laughed and pointed at my head and said, "screwed up but strong".  Yet he was right I think. I remember the time when I opened up my ballroom and I picked up my mom from the airport.  She said the same thing. "Jack you got a big pair". Wow!  That was my mom.

I guess I always took chances in my life.  I had so many nice emails about the movie and the words that were used were; courage, fighter, brave, admiration, survivor, to name a few. Those words made me believe I was on the right track on this.  This film documents a story that will long out live me.  It's a story that Elaine Liner said to write a book about.  Instead it became a video journal.  Not only for the people watching, but for my children and their children, that when they see this movie they would be proud to say, "Wow! That was my dad or my grandad" or whatever.

This movie encapsulates a time in my life where in a blink of an eye everything changed.  A phone call late at night, a love of your life disappears and you are left with questions and silence, and the only thing that keeps you going is love.  I made a dedication to this movie for Ms. Jodi Forrer.  Without her will to live this story could have never been told.

I have survived lost loves and loss of friends.  EXPOSED depicts that time of my life where the momentum changed and a new beginning started.

So I ask you to come and see this film and enjoy all the work that went into it.   It is a once in a lifetime event and who knows when this will happen again.  Thank you and we will see you there!!

Exposed

After three months of preparation and filming and editing, Exposed will premiere at Theatre 166 on March 30th at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are on sale for fifteen dollars and you can reserve them online or email at jsphere2@gmail.com .  It is a documentary about the events leading up to Jack Foltyn's comeback on stage this summer and all that transpired before then. Behind the scenes footage and what transpires during a course of the show and the uphill struggle of what a comeback is after a year and a half absence from any performing. I am very proud of all the people that were involved in this project and humbled by the fact that it is a movie about me and what comes behind the scenes of what people see as glitz and glamour. Its an eye opening documentary with many many layers of emotions and story lines.  For all Jack fans its a must see! We will have new merchandise as well. Considering this is a one night event nothing would please us more than to everyone come and view this masterpiece of film.  Filmed by DJ Mele it brings you in to each story line by picture and testimonies from dancers to musicians. Please come out and join us for this world premiere of EXPOSED.

Thank you
Jack Foltyn
